Watching Ölüdeniz from the shore is lovely; but opening the throttle yourself and riding across the water is something else. Among the activities on Belcekız Beach, jet ski is the one where the control is entirely yours — you decide how fast you go and where you turn.
Never ridden one? Don't worry: a jet ski is the easiest powered watercraft to learn. Throttle, handlebars and a stopping reflex — that's it. After a short training most guests relax within the first five minutes.
Jet Ski
What Is Jet Ski?
A jet ski (personal watercraft / PWC) is a small motorised craft you sit on like a motorbike, driven by a water jet. Because there's no exposed propeller, it's safer for swimmers and the rider.
Control is very simple: press the throttle lever in your right hand to go, release to slow down. Turning is done with the handlebars — but on watercraft you need the throttle open to turn, which is the detail beginners find most surprising. It's the first thing we cover in training.
Single or double?
You can ride solo or take a passenger behind you. On a double ride the person behind must hold on tightly and lean the same way in turns.
- Single: more agile, faster, full control is yours.
- Double: ideal for couples and anyone hesitant to ride alone; also more fun together.
Why is Ölüdeniz good for jet ski?
The bay off Belcekız is wide and sheltered most days. That means a calm surface for beginners and enough open water for the experienced to speed up comfortably. And the coastline keeps changing — the slopes of Babadağ, the mouth of the lagoon, rocky headlands.

How Is Jet Ski Done in Ölüdeniz?
- Check-in and choice. Come to our stand on Belcekız Beach. We'll talk about single or double, and whether you have any experience.
- Life jacket. A properly sized life jacket is fitted and buckles checked. On a jet ski the life jacket is mandatory, no exceptions.
- Short training. Throttle, handlebars, the emergency stop cord (kill switch), turning logic and the boundaries are explained. This takes a few minutes but is never skipped.
- Area briefing. We show you where you can ride, how far to stay from swimming zones, and the turn-around point.
- First metres. If you're a beginner you do the first lap at low speed under our team's supervision. Once you feel comfortable, the speed is in your control.
- The ride. You use it freely within the marked area. Our team stays within sight at all times.
- Return. When your time is up you're signalled back and helped to the platform.
If you like, your ride can be captured with professional photos and drone video; you can also hire a GoPro to film from your own point of view.
Jet Ski
How Does It Feel? What to Expect
On the first throttle the jet ski responds faster than you expect — which is why everyone laughs in the first second. After that you adapt surprisingly quickly.
The real thrill is catching your own wake: speeding up, turning, then cutting back over the wave you left behind. The salt water on your face, the sound of the engine, the coast rushing past — Ölüdeniz from a completely different angle.
Not into speed? No problem. Going slow is entirely your choice, and many guests use the jet ski just for a calm cruise along the shore. Nobody forces you to open it up.
Why us
Why No Name Water Sports?
- We actually train you. We don't just say "go." We don't put anyone on the water without understanding the turning logic and the emergency stop.
- Maintained machines. The jet skis are serviced regularly through the season; breakdown risk is minimised.
- Constant supervision. Our team stays within sight during your ride; if there's a problem we're beside you in seconds.
- Clear boundaries. We describe a safe riding area away from swimming zones — for your safety and everyone else's in the water.
- Footage support. Photos, drone video and GoPro hire from one place; no fiddling with your phone while riding.
Safety: non-negotiable for us
- Life jacket is mandatory and stays on for the whole ride.
- The emergency stop cord (kill switch) is attached to your wrist; if you fall, the engine stops automatically.
- Intoxicated guests cannot ride. No exceptions.
- Keep away from swimming areas. Stay outside the zones marked by buoys.
- No racing another craft, approaching from behind or cutting suddenly.
- If weather and sea aren\'t suitable, no ride. Our team makes that call.
Do I need a licence?
This depends on how it's used. Guests with no experience ride within a defined area under our team's supervision — so you don't need to worry about "not having a licence." If you want unsupervised free use, ask our team at the beach for the current requirements.
Who can join
Who Can Do Jet Ski?
Because the jet ski is a craft entirely controlled by the user, the participation rules are a bit clearer than for the towables.
Suitable for
- Those who\'ve never ridden — we train you, this is our most common guest profile.
- Couples and pairs of friends — double riding is quite comfortable.
- Speed lovers — opening the throttle in the open area is allowed.
- Those wanting a calm cruise — you don\'t have to speed up.
Not suitable if
- Under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Pregnancy
- Serious heart, blood-pressure or balance problems
- Recent surgery, fracture or cast
- Serious back, spine or shoulder conditions — a jet ski creates jolts over the waves
Age and weight limits are strict for safety; for current terms message us on WhatsApp or ask our team at the stand.
Getting ready
What to Bring, What to Wear
- Swimwear — you will definitely get wet.
- A strap for sunglasses — if you wear them, a neck strap is essential or they\'ll go in the sea.
- Sun cream — the water\'s reflection means a higher burn risk than on land.
- Towel and a change of clothes
- A hair tie — speed can be uncomfortable for long hair.
Don\'t bring: phone, watch, necklaces/earrings, wallet. You can safely leave valuables at our stand. For footage we have photo, drone and GoPro options.

What to Know About Jet Ski in Ölüdeniz
Which time of day is best?
Mornings the sea is usually at its flattest — the easiest time for beginners. Afternoons a light chop develops, giving the "bouncy" ride experienced riders love. So choosing the hour to match your level really makes a difference.
Solo first, or take a passenger?
If it's your first time we suggest going solo first — it's easier to get to know the machine. Once comfortable, take a passenger on the second lap. With two up the craft responds a little more slowly and turns are wider.
Photos, drone and GoPro
Jet ski is one of the most rewarding activities to film. We shoot professional photos from shore and, weather permitting, follow you from the air with a drone. You can also hire a GoPro to record your ride from your own view. These services are paid; let's talk details on the beach.
Do I need to book?
Not required — you can just turn up. But in peak periods like July–August, machine numbers are limited, so to secure your time message us in advance on WhatsApp.

Frequently asked questions about Jet Ski
If you can’t find your answer, just message us on WhatsApp.
Is riding a jet ski hard? I have no experience.
No, a jet ski is the easiest powered watercraft to learn. Throttle, handlebars and an emergency stop cord — that's it. We give a short training before you go on the water and you do the first lap at low speed under supervision. Most guests relax within five minutes.
Do I need a licence for the jet ski?
Guests with no experience ride within a defined area under our team's supervision, so you don't need to worry. For unsupervised use, ask our team at the beach for the current requirements.
I can't swim — can I ride a jet ski?
The life jacket is mandatory and our team stays within sight throughout. That said, falling off is always possible on a jet ski, so if you can't swim please tell us beforehand and we'll set up a suitable way to ride.
Can I take a passenger?
Yes, our jet skis are suitable for double use. The passenger must hold on tightly and lean the same way in turns. With two up the craft responds a little more slowly and turns are wider.
How fast can I go?
Within the marked area, speed is entirely your choice. You must slow down near swimming zones and other craft; otherwise you can open the throttle comfortably. You don't have to go fast — plenty of guests just cruise.
How long does the jet ski last?
Duration depends on the package you choose. For current times and pricing, message us on WhatsApp or drop by our stand on Belcekız Beach.
What if I fall off?
Thanks to the kill switch cord on your wrist, the engine stops automatically when you fall; the craft won't drive away. Your life jacket keeps you afloat and our team reaches you immediately. Falling off is expected and not dangerous.
Can my child ride?
Age limits are strict for safety and depend on how it's used. Children above a certain age can sit behind with a parent. Tell us your child's age and we'll give you clear information.
