Where is Belcekız Beach, is entry free, how is it different from the lagoon? Water sports, paragliding landings, beach tips and FAQs on Ölüdeniz’s main beach.
- Ölüdeniz’s main beach · free entry

Belcekız Beach is Ölüdeniz’s long main beach, lined with hotels and restaurants. It stretches right next to the lagoon you see on postcards, is open to the public and free to enter. With Babadağ rising behind it, the beach is also the centre of water sports: parasailing, jet ski, towables and boat departures mostly take place in the open bay in front of Belcekız.
Our No Name Water Sports stand is on Belcekız Beach. On this page we have gathered what first-time visitors should know about the beach.

- Boat trips: Boat tours, speed boat and the taxi boat to Butterfly Valley.

Beach tips
- Come early: In July and August the beach gets crowded towards midday.
- Sunbeds: Businesses along the shore rent out sunbeds and umbrellas; you can also use the beach with your own towel.
- Water shoes: In the summer heat the sand and pebbles can get very hot.
- Mind the swimming zones: Swim inside the buoyed swimming areas; stay out of water-sports and boat routes.
- Paragliding landing area: Don’t stand in the landing area and follow the staff’s instructions.
Spending the morning in the calm water of the lagoon and the afternoon on an activity at Belcekız is the easiest way to experience both sides of Ölüdeniz in one day.
