It's probably the most-screamed-on activity on Belcekız Beach — and because it's ridden as a group, it turns into a "who can hold on longest" contest.

What Is Phantom?
Phantom is an aerodynamic 2 to 4 person inflatable towed on a rope behind the speedboat. What sets it apart from other towables is its low profile and sharp turning: sitting close to the surface makes the sense of speed far more intense.
You ride it lying face-down, hands on the side handles. When the boat turns, the phantom swings outward and jumps as it cuts the boat's wake — that's the moment people mean when they say phantom is "hard."
Phantom vs Mable vs Big Mable
- Phantom: low, fast, hard-swinging. 2–4 people. The most adrenaline-heavy option.
- Mable: softer, ridden lying or kneeling. 2–4 people. Medium.
- Big Mable: much larger, up to 8 people. For big groups and families.

How Is Phantom Done in Ölüdeniz?
- Form your group. 2, 3 or 4 can ride. More people means a slightly heavier but more fun ride.
- Life jacket and briefing. Everyone gets a life jacket. We explain how to hold on, what to do when you fall, and the captain's signals.
- Boarding. You head out on our speedboat to the tow area off Belcekız.
- Get set. Lie face-down on the phantom, grip the handles firmly. Feet back, body centred.
- Launch. The captain starts slowly; when you signal you're ready he speeds up.
- The ride. Speed on the straights, swing in the turns. You set the intensity — just signal "slower" or "harder."
- Return. The boat slows and takes you back on board. Falling off? No problem — the boat comes straight back for you.
Falling off is part of phantom. For most groups it's the best part — which is why everyone wears a life jacket and the boat watches you constantly.

How Does It Feel? What to Expect
The first seconds of phantom are calm: the boat gently tightens the rope and you start to glide over the surface. Then the captain opens the throttle and everything speeds up at once.
The real moment is the turns. As the boat turns, the phantom swings outward, your speed multiplies, and you jump as you cut the boat's wake. That's when the whole group screams at the same time — without exception. And there's the endurance game: nobody wants to fall, but everyone does. When you tumble into the water your life jacket lifts you straight up, the boat returns, and you climb back on unable to speak for laughing. - No intoxicated guests.
- No ride if weather and sea aren\'t suitable.
How to fall
Don\'t resist — let go. Trying to hang on can strain your shoulder, whereas falling into the water is completely safe. After you fall, raise your hand to show you\'re okay — the standard signal to our team on the boat.

Phantom is the hardest of the towables. So it isn\'t ideal for everyone, and we say so honestly.

- Families with small children → Banana or Big Mable
- Anyone wanting calm → Parasailing
- Back, neck or shoulder issues → avoid the towables
Cannot join: pregnancy, serious heart/blood-pressure conditions, recent surgery or fracture, back–neck–shoulder problems, under the influence of alcohol. Ask our team for age and weight limits.
Getting ready
What to Bring, What to Wear
- Swimwear — you\'ll definitely get soaked.
- A snug-fitting swimsuit — you\'ll be more comfortable during the swings.
- Sun cream (water-resistant helps)
- Towel and a change of clothes
- A hair tie
Definitely leave behind: glasses, phone, hat, jewellery, watch. Falling is almost certain on phantom; these stay in the sea. Leave them at our stand.

Is it rude to say "go easy"?
Not at all — everyone does. Just signal the captain before or during the ride. Phantom is best at an intensity that suits you.

Phantom is one of our most spectacular activities to film — the swing looks great on drone. We also shoot professional photos from shore and offer GoPro hire. These services are paid.

Phantom is the hardest of the towables, true. But the intensity is entirely down to the captain's speed, and you set it. Just say "go easy" before launch. For a softer start we recommend beginning with banana or ringo.

I can't swim — can I do phantom?
The life jacket is mandatory and the boat never loses sight of you. Still, falling into the water is very likely on phantom, so if you can't swim please tell us beforehand — we may suggest a more suitable activity.
Can children do phantom?
Phantom is intense, so we don't recommend it for small children — banana or big mable is far more suitable for them. Age limits are strict for safety; tell us your child's age and we'll pick the right option together.
What's the difference between phantom and mable?
