The banana boat is the first image that comes to mind at "water sports." You line up in a row on the long inflatable like riding a horse, grip the handles, and move together behind the boat.
What sets banana apart isn't technical, it's social: you're not experiencing something alone. Everyone's on the same inflatable, everyone rocks at once, and when one person falls the one behind usually goes too. It's probably the most-laughed-at activity on Belcekız Beach.
Banana
What Is Banana?
The banana is a long, banana-shaped inflatable towed on a rope behind the speedboat. You sit one behind another with legs either side, a handle in front of each rider.
The ride is smooth and predictable. The banana traces a long line across the water; in the turns it leans and the balance game begins. It's more of a rocking experience than the bouncing of phantom or mable.
Why the most family-friendly?
- Natural seating — like riding a horse, nothing to learn.
- Tempo can be kept very low — almost a cruise for small children.
- Everyone rides at once — nobody waits on shore.
- Falling is soft — you slide in sideways, no hard impact.
Banana vs Big Mable
The banana is long and narrow, you sit in a row, and falling is easier — part of the fun. Big Mable is wide and stable, you sit side by side, and falling is hard. "We don\'t want to fall" → Big Mable; "falling is the whole point" → banana.

How Is Banana Done in Ölüdeniz?
- Gather the group. Banana is a group activity; the more, the merrier.
- Life jacket. Everyone, children included, gets a properly sized life jacket.
- Briefing. Seating, holding on, and what to do when you fall. Simple version for the children.
- Ordering. Our team places the group for balance and safety.
- Get set. Legs either side, body upright, hands on the handle in front. Don\'t lean on the person ahead.
- Launch and ride. Calm on the straights, leaning in the turns. Change the tempo anytime.
- Return. The boat slows and takes you aboard in turn.
Falling is part of banana and most groups ride for exactly that. When you fall the boat returns immediately and you climb back on, laughing.
Banana
How Does It Feel? What to Expect
The first minute on the banana is calm. Lined up in a row you move over the water, everyone looking at each other, someone inevitably saying "hold on tight."
Then the first turn comes. The banana leans, everyone in the row tries to find their balance at once, and usually the person at the very back is the first to go. That fall starts a chain reaction: one person pulls the next, and three seconds later half the group is in the sea. That's the secret of the banana — nobody feels they "failed"; on the contrary, the fall is the best part. As everyone looks at each other laughing in the water, the boat turns towards you and the question "one more?" hangs in the air.
Why us
Why No Name Water Sports?
- We set the right order. Who sits where sets both balance and safety; we arrange it with experience.
- We really do go slow with children. Say "family ride" and we lower the tempo from the start.
- Properly sized life jackets — child sizes available.
- The boat never loses sight of you. In chain falls we make sure everyone is accounted for.
- Maintained equipment.
Safety: non-negotiable for us
- Life jacket mandatory for all, children included.
- Order set by our team — for balance and safety.
- Capacity respected.
- Tempo set to the most sensitive member.
- No intoxicated guests.
- No ride if conditions aren\'t suitable.
How to fall
Let yourself go sideways, don\'t dive forward. Falling forward risks going under the inflatable. After you fall, raise your hand to signal you\'re okay, then stay put — the boat comes to you, don\'t swim to it.

What to Know About the Banana Boat
Why does the order matter?
On the banana, weight distribution sets how the inflatable sits on the water. Wrong ordering makes the front lift or the back sink; both spoil the ride. Our team looks at the group and sets the right order — which is why we sometimes say no to "let me sit at the very back."
Can a small child ride the banana?
If they meet the age limit, yes — and they love it. The child sits right in front of an adult and the tempo is lowered from the start. In Ölüdeniz the most-photographed moment of a family holiday is often the banana ride.
Is it possible not to fall?
At low tempo, yes. But honestly: most groups ride to fall. Say "we don\'t want to fall" and the captain rides so you don\'t; say "throw us off" and that happens too.
Photos and drone
A chain fall is the best holiday photo you can get. We shoot professional photos from shore and, weather permitting, follow with a drone; GoPro hire too. Paid, but for the banana it\'s truly worth it.

Frequently asked questions about Banana
If you can’t find your answer, just message us on WhatsApp.
Is the banana boat safe for children?
The banana is our most-recommended activity for families in Ölüdeniz. The seating is natural, the tempo can be kept very low, and falling is soft. Children wear a properly sized life jacket and sit right beside an adult. Ask our team about age limits.
How many can ride the banana?
Banana is a group activity; capacity depends on the equipment. If you're a big group, tell us on the beach and we'll arrange for everyone to ride together.
Do I have to fall off?
No. Tell the captain "we don't want to fall" and he rides so you don't. But honestly, most groups ride to fall — and that's the most fun part.
I can't swim — can I ride the banana?
The life jacket is mandatory and the boat watches you constantly. Tell us you can't swim and we lower the tempo right down. Even if you fall, the jacket keeps you up; just stay put and the boat comes to you.
What's the difference between banana and Big Mable?
The banana is long and narrow, you sit in a row, and falling is easy. Big Mable is wide and stable, you sit side by side, and falling is hard. "Falling is the point" → banana; "we don't want to fall" → Big Mable.
Can I choose where I sit?
Our team looks at the group and sets the right order, because weight distribution affects both balance and safety. You can state a preference, but if it isn't suitable for balance we may suggest another spot.
How long does it last, how much does it cost?
Rides are per session; pricing varies by season, group size and extras. Message us on WhatsApp or drop by our stand for current info.
