Ringo (also known as donut or tube) is the best-known and most-tried water sport. You sit in the middle of a ring-shaped inflatable, grip the handles, and get towed behind the boat, spinning as you go.

What makes ringo special is that the intensity is fully adjustable. With the same equipment we can give an 8-year-old a gentle glide and a 25-year-old a head-spinning ride. That flexibility makes it the most-chosen "first activity" on Belcekız Beach.

Ringo

What Is Ringo?

Ringo is a ring-shaped inflatable, open in the middle, towed on a rope behind the speedboat. You sit in the netted centre, hands on the side handles.

Its big difference is the spin: being ring-shaped, when the boat turns the ringo starts to rotate on its own axis. That's not a "swing" like phantom; it's a centrifugal feeling — and exactly what makes people laugh.

Single or double?

  • Single ringo: lighter, spins faster, full control.
  • Double ringo: you sit facing or side by side; more weight means a steadier ride. Ideal for families.

What level is ringo?

Ringo is considered beginner level. For first-time guests on Belcekız Beach we usually suggest starting with ringo or banana. Like it? Level up the same day to mable or phantom.

How Is Ringo Done in Ölüdeniz?

  1. Single or double? Decide how many ride. With a child, always with an adult.
  2. Life jacket and briefing. Seating position and what to do when you fall.
  3. Boarding. Out to the tow area off Belcekız on our speedboat.
  4. Get set. Sit in the centre of the ring, feet forward, grip the handles firmly, back against the ring edge.
  5. Launch. The captain starts slowly; when you signal ready, he ups the tempo.
  6. The ride. Calm on the straights, spin and bounce in the turns. Change the tempo anytime.
  7. Return. The boat slows and takes you aboard.

Correct seating matters: feet not dangling in the water, body inside the ring. Our team checks this before launch.

Ringo

How Does It Feel? What to Expect

Ringo's character is this: calm on the straights, wild in the turns. Going straight you glide comfortably over the water, even with time to look at the view. Then the captain enters a turn and the ringo, sliding outward, starts spinning on its own axis.

In that moment you can't quite tell what's happening — you just laugh. The centrifugal force pushes you outward, the ring skims the surface, and your speed suddenly jumps. Those few seconds explain why ringo has been the most popular water sport for decades. Ride double and there's the bonus of the face opposite you, which most guests say is the funniest part of the ride.

Why us

Why No Name Water Sports?

  • Genuinely adjustable tempo. The captain reads the group and rides accordingly — gentle if there\'s a child, full-on for the young ones.
  • Seating check. We check everyone\'s position before launch — most ringo injuries come from bad seating.
  • Child life jackets. Properly sized, never an adult jacket on a child.
  • Maintained equipment.
  • Experienced with first-timers. We don\'t push the hesitant nor hold back the eager.
Ringo — No Name Water Sports, Ölüdeniz

Safety: non-negotiable for us

  • Life jacket mandatory, on the whole ride.
  • Correct seating checked — feet inside, body centred.
  • Capacity respected.
  • Tempo set to the group.
  • No intoxicated guests.
  • No ride if conditions aren\'t suitable.

The most common ringo mistake

Letting your feet dangle out. It slows you down and strains the legs in turns. Feet inside the ring, extended forward. The second common one: gripping loosely — tighten your hands before the turns.

Who can join

Who Can Do Ringo?

Ringo is one of the most inclusive activities on Belcekız Beach. Because the tempo is adjustable, it suits almost any age.

Ringo suits you

  • If it\'s your first water sport
  • To do something with your child (double)
  • If you want "not too hard but fun"
  • If you want plenty of laughs in a short time

Another activity might suit better

Cannot join: pregnancy, serious heart/blood-pressure conditions, recent surgery or fracture, back–neck–shoulder problems, alcohol. Ask our team for age and weight limits.

Getting ready

What to Bring, What to Wear

  • Swimwear — snug-fitting is best.
  • Sun cream (water-resistant)
  • Towel and change of clothes
  • A hair tie — hair flies in the turns.

Leave behind: phone, glasses, hat, jewellery, watch. You can leave valuables at our stand.

What to Know About Ringo

Can I ride with my child?

Yes — the double ringo is exactly for this. The child sits facing or beside you and you support them. The captain lowers the tempo the moment he sees a child. It\'s the most-chosen first activity for families in Ölüdeniz.

Ringo or banana?

Both are beginner level but different in feel. Ringo spins and gives a centrifugal sensation; banana is more of a "group" feeling where you sit in a row. Big group → banana; fewer people → ringo is more fun.

What to try next

Liked ringo and want "a bit more"? The next step is Mable, then Phantom. Want several activities the same day? Let\'s talk on the beach.

Photos and drone

The spin looks great in photos. We shoot professional photos from shore and, weather permitting, follow with a drone; GoPro hire too. Paid services.

Frequently asked questions about Ringo

If you can’t find your answer, just message us on WhatsApp.

Is ringo suitable for children?

Yes — ringo is the most-chosen first activity for families on Belcekız Beach. On the double ringo the child sits with an adult and the captain lowers the tempo. Age limits are strict; tell us your child's age for clear info.

How hard is ringo?

Fully adjustable. With the same equipment we can give a very gentle glide or a head-spinning ride. Just signal the captain before or during the ride.

What's the difference between ringo and banana?

Ringo is ring-shaped and you sit inside; in turns it spins on its own axis for a centrifugal feel. Banana is long and you sit in a row like riding a horse — more of a group feeling. Big group → banana; fewer people → ringo.

How many can ride the ringo?

Single or double options are available. For a big group, Big Mable (up to 8) or banana suits better.

Will I fall? Is falling dangerous?

It depends on the tempo; on a gentle ride the chance is very low. Even if you fall, ringo falls are soft, your life jacket brings you up immediately and the boat returns within seconds.

I can't swim — can I do ringo?

The life jacket is mandatory and the boat watches you constantly. Tell us you can't swim and we'll lower the tempo right down — ringo is one of the best activities in that case.

Where do I put my feet?

Feet inside the ring, extended forward; don't dangle them. This keeps your speed and stops your legs straining in turns. Our team checks your seating before launch.
